The IS-3 was a heavy tank used by the russians between 1945 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 3.23 metres wide, 10.08 metres long, 2.74 metres high and weighed 45.8 tonnes. Powered by a 513hp petrol engine the IS-3 was capable of a road speed of 23mph and a cross country speed of 12mph. The 106 gallon fuel capacity gave the IS-3 a road range of 130 miles and a cross country range of 94 miles. Based on the is chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a 122mm Gun D-25S L/45 with a muzzle velocity of 990m/sec which was capable of penetrating 150mm of armour at 800metres
