The T-34/85 was a medium tank , 23661 of which were used by the russians between 1944 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 5 and was 3.02 metres wide, 7.57 metres long, 2.4 metres high and weighed 31.5 tonnes. Powered by a 500hp petrol engine the T-34/85 was capable of a road speed of 31mph and a cross country speed of 25mph. The 170 gallon fuel capacity gave the T-34/85 a road range of 220 miles and a cross country range of 210 miles. Based on the t34 chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 85mm Gun M39 L/55 AA with a muzzle velocity of 800m/sec which was capable of penetrating 102mm of armour at 800metres
