IS-2

The IS-2 was a heavy tank used by the russians between 1944 and 1945.

The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 3.15 metres wide, 8.4 metres long, 2.74 metres high and weighed 44 tonnes.

Powered by a 513hp petrol engine the IS-2 was capable of a road speed of 23mph and a cross country speed of 12mph. The 115 gallon fuel capacity gave the IS-2 a road range of 150 miles and a cross country range of 130 miles.

Based on the is chassis, the vehicle was armed with 4 light machine guns, a 122mm Gun D-25S L/45 with a muzzle velocity of 990m/sec which was capable of penetrating 150mm of armour at 800metres
