The AEC Armoured Car Mark III was an armoured car , 205 of which were used by the british between 1944 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.77 metres wide, 5.23 metres long, 2.56 metres high and weighed 12.7 tonnes. Powered by a 158hp petrol engine the AEC Armoured Car Mark III was capable of a road speed of 40mph . The AEC Armoured Car Mark III had a road range of 250 miles Based on the armoured car chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a Ordnance Q.F. 75mm with a muzzle velocity of 618m/sec which was capable of penetrating 71mm of armour at 800metres
