The T-43 was a medium tank used by the russians between 1943 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 3.02 metres wide, 6.92 metres long, 2.46 metres high and weighed 31.5 tonnes. Powered by a 500hp petrol engine the T-43 was capable of a road speed of 31mph and a cross country speed of 25mph. The 170 gallon fuel capacity gave the T-43 a road range of 220 miles and a cross country range of 210 miles. Based on the medium tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 3 light machine guns, a 76.2mm Gun M02/30 L/40 with a muzzle velocity of 680m/sec which was capable of penetrating 74mm of armour at 800metres
