The 3 inch Gun Motor Carriage M10A1 was a self propelled artillery vehicle , 1713 of which were used by the americans between 1943 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 5 and was 3.08 metres wide, 6.03 metres long, 2.49 metres high and weighed 28.57 tonnes. Powered by a 375hp petrol engine the 3 inch Gun Motor Carriage M10A1 was capable of a road speed of 30mph and a cross country speed of 20mph. The 164 gallon fuel capacity gave the 3 inch Gun Motor Carriage M10A1 a road range of 200 miles Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with a 3 in Gun M7 with a muzzle velocity of 0m/sec which was capable of penetrating 0mm of armour at 800metres
