The T-70 was a light tank , 8226 of which were used by the russians between 1942 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 2 and was 2.36 metres wide, 4.7 metres long, 2.31 metres high and weighed 9.05 tonnes. Powered by a 140hp petrol engine the T-70 was capable of a road speed of 32mph and a cross country speed of 14mph. The 101 gallon fuel capacity gave the T-70 a road range of 279 miles and a cross country range of 186 miles. Based on the light tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 45mm M1938 L/46 with a muzzle velocity of 820m/sec which was capable of penetrating 53mm of armour at 800metres
