The Multiple Gun Motor Carriage M17 was a self propelled artillery vehicle , 1000 of which were used by the americans between 1942 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2 metres wide, 6.56 metres long, 2.26 metres high and weighed 8.45 tonnes. Powered by a 128hp petrol engine the Multiple Gun Motor Carriage M17 was capable of a road speed of 45mph and a cross country speed of 25mph. The 60 gallon fuel capacity gave the Multiple Gun Motor Carriage M17 a road range of 200 miles Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with 4 light machine guns.
