The Light Tank M3A3 (Stuart V)also known as Stuart V was a light tank , 3427 of which were used by the americans between 1942 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.54 metres wide, 5.08 metres long, 2.31 metres high and weighed 12.3 tonnes. Powered by a 250hp petrol engine the Light Tank M3A3 (Stuart V) was capable of a road speed of 34mph and a cross country speed of 20mph. The 54 gallon fuel capacity gave the Light Tank M3A3 (Stuart V) a road range of 135 miles Based on the light tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 3 light machine guns, a 37mm Antitank Gun M3 with a muzzle velocity of 885m/sec which was capable of penetrating 48mm of armour at 800metres
