The Pz.Bef.Wg III Ausf K was an command vehicle , 50 of which were used by the germans between 1942 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 5 and was 2.95 metres wide, 5.64 metres long, 2.51 metres high and weighed 22.3 tonnes. Powered by a 300hp petrol engine the Pz.Bef.Wg III Ausf K was capable of a road speed of 25mph and a cross country speed of 11mph. The Pz.Bef.Wg III Ausf K had a road range of 103 miles Based on the pzkpfw iii chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 5.0cm KwK 39 L/60 AP with a muzzle velocity of 835m/sec which was capable of penetrating 64mm of armour at 800metres
