The AEC Armoured Car Mark I was an armoured car , 122 of which were used by the british between 1942 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.77 metres wide, 5.23 metres long, 2.56 metres high and weighed 11.18 tonnes. Powered by a 105hp petrol engine the AEC Armoured Car Mark I was capable of a road speed of 40mph . The AEC Armoured Car Mark I had a road range of 250 miles Based on the armoured car chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a Ordnance Q.F. 2pdr with a muzzle velocity of 792m/sec which was capable of penetrating 47mm of armour at 800metres
