The Gun Motor Carriage M12 was a self propelled artillery vehicle , 100 of which were used by the americans between 1941 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 6 and was 2.69 metres wide, 6.83 metres long, 2.92 metres high and weighed 26.82 tonnes. Powered by a 350hp petrol engine the Gun Motor Carriage M12 was capable of a road speed of 24mph and a cross country speed of 12mph. The Gun Motor Carriage M12 had a road range of 140 miles Based on the sp gun chassis, the vehicle was armed with a 155mm Gun M1917/18 with a muzzle velocity of 0m/sec which was capable of penetrating 0mm of armour at 800metres
