The T-50 was a light tank , 63 of which were used by the russians between 1940 and 1945.
The vehicle was manned by a crew of 4 and was 2.49 metres wide, 5.23 metres long, 2.03 metres high and weighed 13.5 tonnes.
Powered by a 300hp petrol engine the T-50 was capable of a road speed of 32mph and a cross country speed of 25mph. The 77 gallon fuel capacity gave the T-50 a road range of 220 miles and a cross country range of 172 miles.
Based on the light tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a 45mm M1938 L/46 with a muzzle velocity of 820m/sec which was capable of penetrating 53mm of armour at 800metres |
