The KV-2B was a heavy tank used by the russians between 1940 and 1945.
The vehicle was manned by a crew of 6 and was 3.36 metres wide, 6.86 metres long, 4.22 metres high and weighed 57 tonnes.
Powered by a 550hp petrol engine the KV-2B was capable of a road speed of 16mph and a cross country speed of 7mph. The 131 gallon fuel capacity gave the KV-2B a road range of 100 miles and a cross country range of 84 miles.
Based on the kv chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a 152mm Howitzer M-10 L/25 with a muzzle velocity of 508m/sec which was capable of penetrating 92mm of armour at 800metres |
