The SU-45 was a self propelled artillery vehicle used by the russians between 1940 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 1.72 metres wide, 3.23 metres long, 2.77 metres high and weighed 6 tonnes. Powered by a 40hp petrol engine the SU-45 was capable of a road speed of 25mph and a cross country speed of 15mph. The SU-45 had a road range of 156 miles Based on the anti aircraft chassis, the vehicle was armed with a 45mm M1938 L/46 with a muzzle velocity of 820m/sec which was capable of penetrating 53mm of armour at 800metres
