The PzKpfw II Ausf D,Ealso known as Panzer II was a light tank , 43 of which were used by the germans between 1939 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.3 metres wide, 4.65 metres long, 2.06 metres high and weighed 10 tonnes. Powered by a 140hp petrol engine the PzKpfw II Ausf D,E was capable of a road speed of 34mph and a cross country speed of 11mph. The PzKpfw II Ausf D,E had a road range of 125 miles Based on the pzkpfw ii chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 2.0cm Kwk 38 L/55 with a muzzle velocity of 899m/sec which was capable of penetrating 18mm of armour at 800metres
