Powered by a hp petrol engine the Light Tank 7 TP improved was capable of a road speed of 19mph .

Based on the light tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 37mm Bofors L/45 with a muzzle velocity of 800m/sec which was capable of penetrating 37mm of armour at 800metres
