The BT-7-2 was a medium tank used by the russians between 1936 and 1945.
The vehicle was manned by a crew of 3 and was 2.46 metres wide, 5.74 metres long, 2.31 metres high and weighed 13.8 tonnes.
Powered by a 450hp petrol engine the BT-7-2 was capable of a road speed of 45mph and a cross country speed of 33mph. The 174 gallon fuel capacity gave the BT-7-2 a road range of 310 miles and a cross country range of 220 miles.
Based on the bt chassis, the vehicle was armed with 2 light machine guns, a 45mm M1932 L/46 with a muzzle velocity of 760m/sec which was capable of penetrating 28mm of armour at 800metres |
