The Char Leger H-35 (Hotchkiss) was a light tank , 400 of which were used by the french between 1936 and 1945. The vehicle was manned by a crew of 2 and was 1.87 metres wide, 4.26 metres long, 2.15 metres high and weighed 10.6 tonnes. Powered by a 75hp petrol engine the Char Leger H-35 (Hotchkiss) was capable of a road speed of 17mph and a cross country speed of 7mph. The Char Leger H-35 (Hotchkiss) had a road range of 100 miles Based on the light tank chassis, the vehicle was armed with 1 light machine gun, a 37 mm SA M1918 L/21 with a muzzle velocity of 388m/sec which was capable of penetrating 13mm of armour at 800metres
